February 29th, 2008Under age members will compete in under 8 and under 10 blitz at Lees Road, Drumcliffe on Sunday June 4th. Former Irish goalkeeper Pakie Bonner will attend. .

St. Pat’s is running a golf classic in Kilrush golf club on Saturday may 27th. Funds are in aid of the new clubhouse.

Work on the building of dressing rooms at the new St. Pat’s pitch is due to begin and hopefully will be completed for the New season.

St. Pat’s soccer Summer camp will be in Cahermurphy School from 5th to 8th of July. The camp is for children up to 6th class. Soccer skills and leagues will be organised by a qualified FAI coach.

Pitch Development Update
2006 – Completion of Pitch and Dressing Rooms
Work on the entrance to the pitch from the main street has begun and will be completed in the next few weeks. It is hoped that state of the art dressing rooms will be built over the summer. This will bring the total spending by the club to approximately€300,000

Quiz Team
The St Pats sports quiz team were narrowly defeated in the final of the Clare FM quiz by Kilmurry Ibrickane. The St. Pats team was Dermot Downes, Martin Murphy, Martin McGuane and Michael Studdert
Youths Team Win
The St Pats youths team were victorious in a 12 team tournament in Cooraclare over the Christmas. The team included: Shane Egan (big), James Egan, Alan Normoyle, Shane Egan (small), Patrick O Halloran, Eamon Ryan and Wayne Considine

Teams
The club have three teams competing this season. St Pats ‘A’ in division 2 of the Clare league, St Pats ‘B’ in division 3 and also a team in the youths league.
Pat Daly is currently managing both the ‘A’ team and also the youths.
Gerard Lineen and Kevin McGuane are joint managers of the ‘B’ team.
Pitch Development
The Club are currently in the process of developing a state of the art all weather pitch in the village. Work on the pitch is complete and we hope that it will be playable by early 2006. We also hope to begin work on dressing rooms in the near future. This is a major undertaking for the club and will be a huge boost to the community in general.
Members Draw
The club are currently running a draw to raise money for the current pitch and dressing room development. 100 members are asked to pledge €5 a week over two years. There is a draw each month with a top prize of €400 and €750 guaranteed in prizes.
We hope to raise in the region of €30,000 from the draw and all of this money will go directly towards the pitch development.
