The 8th year of the Kilmihil Festival of Fun will be held next weekend from Friday August 1st to Monday 4th . The festival goes from strength to strength and is one of the most popular festivals in the county. Once again a large and varied programme has been designed to provide entertainment for everybody , young and old.

The death has occurred of Johnno Finucane, Shyan at 81 years. In his youth he was an outstanding athlete and footballer. We offer our sympathy to his wife Eileen and family.

Lacken townland lost two of it’s members recently

Pauline Moloney relict of the late Donal died suddenly.

Frances Halpin, daughter of the late Jim and Bridget died in England and was buried with her parents in Kilmihil
